Coal Handling

Measurement in the coal bunker

Process description

The coal, which arrives by train or ship, is sollected in the coal plant for distribution. From the coal bunker (the storage area), it is passed on to the milling plant. Subsequently, the fine coal is injected into the boiler to be incinerated. The level in the coal bunker is decisive for the steady loading of the coal mills, so that a continous measurement device as well as limit detection is needed to monitor the level.
