Residues disposal

Process Description

During the combustion of coal the following residues accumulate:

Fly ash
Combustion ash

The combsution ash also called slag is extracted below the steam generator (boiler) to be subsequently cooled in a water bath. The solid, moist components are subequently loaded and  can be used in e.g. road buidling. The cooling water contains both sedimentation materials as well as colloidal suspensions in substantial quantities. For that reason they must be supplied to the central wastewater treatment. The flyash particles loosenedduring the combustion process are separated in the 2. Boiler street but latest in the electrofilter. Subsequently these hot particles are transported pneumatically to the flyash silo. From there it is loaded onto trains, trucks or ships.
