Tough and reliable

With a choice of ceramic or polysilicon capacitive sensors, Cerabar S pressure transmitters from Endress+Hauser, Greenwood, Indiana, handle a wide range of pressures and environments. Ceramic diaphragms withstand extremely corrosive and abrasive conditions from full vacuum up to 600 psi, while the touch polysilicon sensors measure up to 6000 psi.

Pressure measurement with dry running vacuum pumps

Common vacuum pumps require fuel such as oil, water or steam which, in the end, gives rise to costs due to their use or disposal. Thus the chemical and pharmaceutical industries often use dry-running vacuum pumps. The dry-running Sterling vacuum pump "Sihidry" was presented at last year's Achema by the SIHI-Halberg sales association. Since then the first practical results are now available.
