Challenge
The examination of the purity of boiler water for steam is often carried out manually. Samples are taken several times a week to meausre parameters such as pH or conductivity in the laboratory. Moreover, the results need to be documented according to legal standards. This approach requires a lot of employee resources. MVO therefore decided to use the SWAS Compact solution from Endress+Hauser.
Our solution
Endress+Hauser supplied the turnkey solution SWAS Compact for continuous and automated monitoring of the quality-relevant parameters in the boiler water. By continuously measuring and recording the measured values, the monitoring and documentation proceed in accordance to legal requirements - without any manual intervention and without the need for an additional operating log.
SWAS Compact at MVO consists of a panel which contains:
Sample cooler
Pressure reducing valve
Electrical temperature protection valve
Overflow valve
Flow assembly and Memosens sensors for conductivity and pH
Liquiline transmitter
Flow measurement
EcoGraph T RSG35 recorder for paperless data recording of the measured values is mounted on the panel
The panel can be expanded at any time. There are slots in the flow assembly for additional Memosens 2.0 sensors.
